These terms are between you and Relay. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Relay.
You describe what you want to be kept aware of. Relay searches the web, reads what it finds, judges it against your description, and writes you a short briefing on the few things it thinks are worth your time. Every step of that is automated.
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. One account is for one person; do not share your sign-in with others.
This is the most important thing on this page. Relay’s summaries and its judgements about what matters are produced by language models working from articles found by an automated search. They can be incomplete, out of date, missing something important, or simply wrong.
Every story links to the sources it was written from. Check anything that matters against them before acting on it. Relay is not professional advice of any kind — financial, legal, medical or otherwise — and must not be used as the sole basis for a decision that carries real consequences.
Relay links to articles published by others. Copyright in that reporting belongs to the publishers, who are credited and linked on every story. What Relay writes about an article is a short summary created to help you decide whether to read it, and is not a substitute for the reporting itself. We do not control what those sites contain and are not responsible for it.
Your briefing descriptions remain yours. You give us permission to process them for the purpose of running the service — which includes sending them to the providers named in our privacy policy. Do not submit anything unlawful, anything that infringes someone else’s rights, or anyone’s personal data that you have no right to hand over.
A share link contains the name and description of the briefing as it was when you created the link, and works for 48 hours. Anyone holding the link can read that text and copy it into a briefing of their own. Sharing is your decision — do not share a description containing anything you would not hand to a stranger.
Relay is a young service and is offered as it is. Briefings run on a schedule that depends on services we do not control; a run can be late, can produce nothing, or can fail. Features may change or be withdrawn. We do not promise any particular level of availability, and we may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Relay is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it or from anything you did or did not do because of a briefing. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may change these terms; the date at the top will change with them, and continuing to use Relay means accepting the new version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
