Axonify launches Max Coach for voice-based frontline role-play training
Simulated-people products in other fields — what works, what fails · Wednesday, 2 September 2026
Why it matters
Max Coach is a useful reference for building simulated people that are purposeful rather than open-ended: scenarios are bounded by job-specific goals, feedback is tied to explicit behavioral scorecards, and practice is connected to training content and manager workflows. Its launch claims broad enterprise adoption potential, but the announcement provides no independent evidence yet on realism, learning outcomes, or whether employees find the simulated interactions credible rather than scripted.
What happened
Axonify launched Max Coach, an AI voice role-play capability that lets frontline employees rehearse customer service, sales, onboarding, and compliance-sensitive conversations before real interactions. The tool is integrated with Axonify’s learning platform, generates post-session scorecards, supports custom scenarios through an admin builder, and offers practice in 24 languages. After an invitation-only pilot and early access beginning in June 2026, Max Coach is now generally available in Axonify’s Pro and Premium packages.
