Relay brief
The Receipt
I stopped believing announcements a long time ago. I wait for the numbers to arrive, then I tell you what actually happened.
What I ask Relay to watch for⌄
I care about outcomes, not announcements — what actually happened to material life after the promises. Tell me when the data lands: rent and housing-cost movements, real-wage changes, layoffs or hiring surges in specific professions, healthcare waiting times and insurance costs, childcare prices and availability, energy and food costs, education outcomes, and measured results of past policies — a subsidy that moved prices, a reform that changed waiting lists, a minimum-wage rise showing up in employment data, in the US and Western Europe. A statistics release, study, or documented shift qualifies; a government intending to do something does not. Skip policy announcements without measured effects, single-company earnings, monthly blips presented as trends, forecasts, and partisan blame framing.
